It’s the beginning of the second week away from my beautiful baby… I’m not sure if it gets any easier. Today my Mom is doing something with one of my brothers at school so a family friend is watching him. He woke up sniffly and sneezing and coughing at 3:00 a.m. and he was so sad. He woke himself up again at 5:00 coughing but after I fed him and put him back down at 5:45 he seemed to be sleeping more sound. I set up a cool-mist humidifier and he was still asleep when I left at 6:45. I hope he gets a good nap in this morning and it may help him feel better. It worked out just right that he has a babysitter coming to the house today so he doesn’t have to be toted around. This Ohio weather we have can be such a stress on your system. From 35 degree nights to 55 degree nights in 24 hours…

Despite not making the best food choices this weekend, I didn’t eat enough meals throughout the day so it managed to balance out calorie wise. Not ideal but hey, it’s working for me. We ordered pizza last night and I had every intention of eating it but by the time I got Boo to settle down and rocked him to sleep I didn’t feel like eating pizza at 10:00 at night so I didn’t! Probably a good thing since I had eaten a 7 oz. filet and part of a baked sweet potato with butter and brown sugar at lunch. I did not however, have any cake at church!

Baby Matthew went to church yesterday to have a blessing prayed over him. He slept through the whole thing, the little stinker. He is so beautiful. I love when Daddy gets him out of the crib in the morning and kisses him so sweetly.

I didn’t get to weigh this morning but last week I lost 3 pounds! Darnit, I forgot my vitamin again this morning. Man, I suck at taking those and I need to take them for the little guy…

This coming weekend is the Columbus Marathon. We won’t be in town but my friend Jeanette is running and I can’t wait to hear what her finish time will be. She is awesome. One of my co-workers made it through Chicago last weekend before they shut the course down because of the heat, if that doesn’t tell you how fast she is…

I’m off to fill my coffee mug with de-caf… Nothing like a warm mug of coffee on a crisp morning.
