I feel like I am finally on a roll with the weight loss again. I haven’t felt a huge craving for sweets in months really. I’ve been doing much better with my water and I have had healthier things to eat in general. Having the baby is a great distraction from food, that’s for sure.

I was a total grump yesterday and last night. And then I thought the baby was asleep early so I wanted to try to make a decent dinner and do some laundry. As soon as I got dinner going, Matthew woke up! :talking: Needless to say he was very upset for some reason and wouldn’t go to Daddy and I barely got everything done.

He finally went down around 9:45 and I went straight to bed. Then he slept all night :angel4: and I had to get him up to feed him before going to Mom’s. If I could get him down closer to 8:00 then he would sleep till 3 or 4 and I wouldn’t have to get him up. I am not about to attempt to haul him to Mom’s unfed all night. That would be disastrous. He started to wake up this morning several time in the car and I was starting to panic. If he wakes up it is a full on scream fest. :bigeyes3: Maybe he is practicing for Halloween.

We are going to the farm this weekend to hunt turkey and deer. I hope we are able to take the baby out in the carrier a little. I think Matt’s Aunt is going to watch him Saturday morning while we hunt and I hope he does okay. He is still a really little guy. A lot of Mommy’s who have traditional maternity would still be home with him for another 2 weeks. I think we forget that and expect him to be more flexible with strangers. I’m sure he will get there in a few months. I just worry about him. And when I feel like I hardly see him all week I miss him so much when I leave him at all on the weekend.

I am still in a total funk. Maybe it’s a little post-partum hitting me after 3 weeks back at work?
Hugs, Rebekah
PS. Thanks for the adorable Halloween Starbucks Mug My Love… :inlove:

I was gonna mention that lack of regular sleep and caring for an infant in addition to working a job outside the home will put most of us in a funk, Sweetie. Hang in there and enjoy your weekend. :)

Not having ever been a mom, I don't know what to say but I have the utmost faith in you to do the best for both you, your husband and your child. Enjoy the weekend and try to get some rest and a nice walk.

Enjoy your time with Matty! Hunting sounds like a great time! We have so many turkey here, you can just about reach out in the yard and just get one! LOL And that post-partum can be a bugger! Just stay on top of it...
