Thursday, Apr 10 2008 - Day 26
View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day
Better late than never

I am sneaking in a lunch/computer play time quickly. I was checking out my options for dinner and trying to guesstimate my choice since we are going out with Katie. I hope they have the yellowfin tuna salad that is listed online. It sounds good and simple and no cheeses!
It has been busy this morning, still in the aftermath of yesterdays work load. It is all coming together at least. I have tomorrow off to volunteer at the packet hand out for the Capital City Distance Classic Half Marathon. I have run this one before but not this year. I had thought about 5 weeks ago that I might be able to wing it but um, I dont think so.
So anyway, I have been a busy bee this morning
I dont like to leave things on my desk when I am off a day.
I had a little run in with a co worker this morning. I recently got a little departmental promotion and a few people were not so happy about it. Goodness.
Matt came home last night and told me that a friend of ours passed away unexpectedly on March 30. We had no idea. We missed the funeral and everything. I am so sad that I didnt know, its like a weird sense of no closure. I have no idea what the circumstances were but Connie was a firey little ball of happiness and kindness yet she never really had anyone to take care of her. It took a toll on her I know. She was 43 and the mother of a 16 year old daughter.
I am getting worn out from this week as usual. We have been up later than usual most nights with the great weather we are having, getting the yard ready for mulching and planting. It is supposed to get a little nasty this weekend again. I have group run but Matt is not working so he has little Matty time.

It's a little obvious that Matt is so in love with his little guy.
Hugs.

PS. I have not gone over calories a single day in 25 days and I have lost 5.5 pounds. ARGH! But I do agree with C. It feels like my body is just
starting to get into normal mode and Matty is 8 months old today. I have heard '9 mo in, 9 mo out'. I am hoping that if I am good and stick to this then I will have a huge jump start when everything decides to operate as usual again. At least, that is what I am clinging to!

25 days of staying within calorie range...you are going to see more results in the future, I am sure. Stick with it.

It's funny how guys are so different with the babies than we are. Congrats on the promotion! And you are doing well with losing weight.
