Good Monday Morning!! We got so much done this weekend. Matt has 15 flats of bedding flowers planted and I got most of the containers planted and the lawns mowed and Matt got the garden tilled so we went ahead and planted the veggies too! This is the earliest that we have ever gotten the veggies out. Next weekend we have to mulch.

I stayed well within calorie range all weekend but I did not get out to run. I have to get out tonight. I may have to wait until Matty B is in bed for the night. This Sat. is a 9 mile run so I really need to run at least twice this week.

MIL got home from her retreat yesterday afternoon. I’m sure that Matty missed Grandma but it’s always nice to hang out and not worry about the mess so much for a couple of days.

My brother and his wife came up to see the boys on Saturday and Sunday. It was pretty stressful on Mom. I think Mom was hoping that they would take the boys all day at least one of the days and go to the park and lunch and stuff so Mom and Dad could have a break but I guess they went to the mall on Sunday morning and then came back by 1:00 and hung out. Such a mess. My brother is still clinging to keep his ‘family unit’ but he is going to have to set a long term plan of help for at least the hours between when he leaves for second shift and bedtime or it is never going to work. He thinks that by staying together it is so much better for the boys but I just can’t see how living in such an emotionally and mentally and physically unfulfilling relationship on his part is so good for the boys. I wish he could just understand how much happier his life could be and how much healthier that would be for the boys. Not that they would never see their Mom. But to leave the family together just for the sake of it is not the healthiest place for the boys. I know it’s his life but boy I wouldn’t want to be in it.
