New picture of my darling boy....
...Holding steady just under 160 now for a few weeks... No gain but only a half pound fluctuating loss. I knew my system would have to get used to these long runs once we got into them. I try to eat extra on the days when I run 5 miles or more but I just get so busy that I can never eat enough. I didn't even get my minimum calories in yesterday- never mind eating back any exercise calories. I actually have a goal this week of remembering to eat all my calories! When was the last time I could say that?? One of the lesser known blessings of having children I think is being too busy to eat.
I think that instead of trying to eat too much on the actual day that I run I will shoot to eat all my daily calories all week leading up to the run and then I won't be so ravenous the day after a long run because I'm not getting enough on the actual day that I run just because I can't eat that much. (wow, was that wordy...

)
Granted, this is a holiday weekend but I still have found that if I don't eat any sweets it's pretty hard to blow your entire day on picnic food with all the grilled stuff and fruits and veggies... So NO sweets!
Crazy week alert! We have at least one social event every day or evening on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a 14 mile run on Sat. morning. Oh boy...

He's darling B. I don't know how you can stand to be away from him running and when you are at work. I know it's tough. I would want to snuggle him 24/7. I know you do too. Keep up the great work!
