Monday, Sep 22 2008 - Where has the time gone??? Day 190

View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

I have kind of leveled off now for a month which puts me at a smidge over 1 lb of loss a week since the beginning of this journey 190 days ago.... I need to kick it back in gear. That last 10 pounds by Turkey day. I know I have said it before... To help in all this, and to keep my sanity I have changed my registration for the Columbus Marathon from the full to the half. It was just stressing me out. I haven't been able to stick to the schedule during the week and 'winging' the distance on the weekends nearly killed me the last 2 weeks. I am really at peace about it but I am also dissapointed in myself. I keep reminding myself that I have worked with a lot lately.... New supervisor job at work, Matty B is all about being outside in the evenings running all over (which is great for me too!) and then I am up later catching up on house stuff so it gets harder to get up at 3:30... and then throw in that windstorm last weekend that had us without power at our house for 6 days. So, anyway, I ran a half a couple weekends ago and did just fine so my revised goal is to kick a$$ in the half in Oct. I do have the good fortune of being able to say that I have completed 2 other 26.2 milers pre-baby and if I don't find the time to train for another until my house is semi-independant again...(you know, get their own Cheerios while Mommy is out running...) :) Then so be it.

So back on the horse...
PS. I wasn't able to catch up with Susan, NOR did I bother to let her know that I wouldn't be able to!! I'm sorry Susan!! Next time!

Hey you - I was missing you and wondered how you fared with the power situation. Glad you guys are okay. Think you are being smart about the half rather than the full - treasure this time with your boys - the little one will grow up so fast, and the big one will appreciate seeing you a little more often!

You are doing great. Be proud B! Please don't be disappointed in yourself. We can't do everything we set out too. You have to have realistic goals. I am proud of you for revising!
