Ick... Happy 'Hump' Day C-!!

Wow. Holiday slump. Haven't been watching the food as carefully as I should and I have had alcohol 5 out of the last 6 days... (so unlike me, really!
) I slept through running today... I do this once in awhile which I know full well would be fine if I was at goal weight.But it's painfully apparent that I am not.
Last night over 2 Bud Lights at dinner Matty was trying to find out if he was supposed to start helping me get back on track with a loving nudge or if he was safer keeping...
Can it be the weekend already????

LOL... I slept in till 6:00 today! Holy crap. It felt great though and I feel really rested. My new training schedule has the day after a long run off every week and although I feel that I should exercise some every day I am going to let myself take these 'off' days in the running plan. So... short story long, I stayed in the covers and snoozed....

Ick. I was folding warm laundry and getting a 'chill' from standing in the cool basement in my sweaty post-run clothes this morning.... When I told Matty that I really wanted was to put these warm jammie pants on and climb right back in bed. I have actually gotten to take a nap after a long run once ever I think. It was affter the Columbus Distance Classic half marathon on last April. I went to see Matty at work and then went home, showered and climbed in bed. Best rest I think I have ever...

Matty's company Christmas dinner was last night and we had a great time.
The one couple had their 5 week old daughter with them and she became mine for a little while She was beautiful and so soft and warm

Nancy Jo!) with a client, his boss, his boss' son and his uncle. He's pretty happy that his uncle got to go. They are super close and will have a great day. His boss has a black lab, 'Mo' who is a great bird dog and carries the birds back after they fall. It's an awesome thing to watch a 'working dog' do his thing...
