Friday, Jun 22 2007 - Monthly weigh-in with doc
View BONNIE180's food & exercise for this day
Well I went on Wed to see the doc and get my monthly weigh-in over with. I have to say walking in I kind of new I would not be happy with what I weighed in at. I had hopped on the scale before I went to the appointment and it was at 200. Knowing the Docs scale as intamitly as I due I know that is a few lbs heaver then my scale. So I hopped on the scale and BAM 204. Kind of a downer for me. But he gave me a lift up by reminding me that the last time I weighed in on his scale 4 weeks before I was at 211. At that time he set a goal for me to loose 5 lbs before I saw him next. I lost a total of 7 lbs in one month. Not bad even if I weighed in heaver than my scale. We sat talking for a while about the nutrition meeting that he had set up and I had attended. I gave him all the feedback that I could come up with, Some good, Some bad. I also gave him some suggestions about the education and resource material that I felt might be helpful for others in the program. I figure..Heck...there new at this program and could use all the help they can get from someone who has had sucess with it.
When Doc looked at my chart and saw that not only was I losing great amounts of weight on his program but that I was also doing it med free I think he was very supprised.
So after my appointment I was the shocked one when he told me that my appointment for the day would be free. I have to tell you there is something about a Doctor that truly beleives in what they are doing. I think he appreciated my feed back and thanked me with a complementary visit. It was truly a plesent shock. Not to mention the fact that I really don't have the money to be pooring into seeing him to help me lose weight. But check it out, Its working. I will do what I have to, to continue to see him for this new healty lifestyle change.
I ran a mile on the YMCA track yesterday and i'm one sore chick. I could work out in the jym all day long and not be this beat. Its truly a change of pace. I have a goal to run 5 miles by the end of the summer. BABY steps will get me there!
