I have made a new goal. I have been throwing the idea of a tummy tuck around ever sence I lost the first 30 lbs. I know I'm not ready for it yet because I have to prove to myself that I will keep the weight off. Not only because of the cost of the procedure but also because what would happen if I took off all the extra skin then added lbs. I already have mass stretch marks from having my children at a heavy weight. SO, worst case if I don't get my goals set now and stick to them, I will be doing myself more damage in the end by getting large after the procedure and leaving no room for the new fat to go...IE. more stretch marks! So the goals are as follows...
#1. reach 180 (target weight) or lower.
#2. Maitain target weight for 1 year.
#3. Quit smoking.
#4. maintain a smoke free life for 1 year.
#5. get tummy tuck.
So I think that I can get all this done in about 1-1/2 years. I want to make sure that my life change sticks before I spend money energy on the procedure. I recently added the quiting smoking to my pre-procedure list because of the show big medicen. There was a man on there getting a body lift who was a heavy smoker and they almost turned him down because of smoking. Apparently smoking can cause problems for anestethia (sp?) and the post sergery healing. It also changes the stretch-ability of your skin. So If I quit smoking and wait a year my body may rejuvinate and some of the hanging skin that bothers me may correct itself. This is my goal. I will complete it.....WHY am I so sure you might ask....BECAUSE I AM IN CONTROL! LOL....
