BONNIE180's CalorieKing blog

Monday, Aug 13 2007 - MUCH BETTER DAY!!!

View BONNIE180's food & exercise for this day

I'm BAAAACK. I did real well today, other than not working out. But I am not upset because I am still not feeling 100%. I had a real ruff night sleep lastnight and I'm sure that is not helping my recovery. I felt like I could not breath all night and would wake up in coughing fits. Not real good. On a good note I may be able to use this cold to aid in my quiting smoking. I'm down to about 3 a day at this point mostly because I just can't do it without feeling like dieing. What better reason to quit..huh.
So anyhow I did'nt make it to the store to truly stock up on the low cal items but I found that the house was full of them, I was just looking right past them. I saw what I wanted to see...fatty, sugar filled, tasty foods. I was reaching right past my 2 pints of strawbarrys, yogurt, cottage cheese, lean cuisine meals. Now I see them with wanting agian.
So my girlfriend came over on sunday night. She made this real low sugar and cal dessert that was to die for. It was sugar free angle food cake cut in half and filled with sugar free cheese cake flavored pudding and then coated with lite whip cream that was mixed with vanilla pudding powder to thicken and flavor. It was sooo good. The only problem was all the sugar free things made me SOOO full of gas. It was almost not worth it because of the bloting and gas problems. ALMOST!
So I went out today and dropped off job aplications and a resume. I was shocked when within 15 mins of dropping my last one off I had a call from one to set up a interview. I spent about 30 mins on the phone with the owner and he was talking as if I had already gotten the job. We set up an interview for tomarrow at 12-noon. We have not talked salary yet but he didn't seem shocked at what was stated on my resume. We shall see....
As I was dropping off the apps and resumes I stopped in a place called dinner by design. I had seen of it on adds and t.v. but didn't know how it worked. Its coooool. its about 200$ and you walk in and make 6 meals where all the meat and veggies are supplied for you. Then you take them home and put them in the freezer and use them throughout the month you can also make 12 meals for a higher charge. I am thinking about doing it expecialy if I go back to work full time. You can get the calorie counts online also to help maintain my new lifestyle.

Hi Bonnie :) Thanks for the nice note on my Blog.

I was touched by your desire to quit smoking, and want you to know that YOU CAN DO IT... I am 64 days smoke-free today. The roughest part is the first two-weeks, and by day 30, you're almost feeling normal as a non-smoker. Quitting smoking was one of the best decisions I've ever made. You just don't know how good you're going to feel 30, 60 days after being smoke free, until you just DO IT. The change in eating and re-commitment to exercise was a fantastic diversion for me in my QUIT, and I'm excited about where this journey is taking me. I am early on in my healthy lifestyle journey, but I'm just glad I'm on it.

BY THE WAY....I applaud you for your weight-loss efforts. You look MARVELOUS!! Way to go. I'll keep you as a favorite blog....and watch your success as inspiration!

Cheers!

:wave1: Good evening...I am sorry you are sick, however, if it helps you quit smoking then it turned out to be a good thing....Since I quit smoking about 10 years ago after doing it for 40 years..I have not really been sick....I do have COPD as a result..but I may have gotten that anyway...Good luck with the interview tomorrow...Get a good nights rest so that you feel good for the interview...:)

Back in 1995, I quit smoking finally because for about two months I was having all kinds of respiratory problems, sinisitis, bronchitis, and I just couldn't shake the infections. Finally when I recovered, I eagerly lit up a cigarette and immediately began coughing and hacking like i was going to hurl. At the time I came to the recognition that if I was going to live to see all my beautiful children grow up and go to school and have babies and careers then i had better quit smoking. I never smoked another cigarette and I tried sooo many times before that to quit smoking that i never thought I would be able to. I acatually think correcting my eating habits is harder than quitting smokin gnow that I finally did quit.

Thank you kindly for the touching remark about my work with PWP. Since I retired and have been working in this field I have so much gratitude for the people who have helped me succeed in this field that I cannot possibly rmember everyone who has helped me bu tit certainly has become my passion. You are a nic eyoung lady and if you don't mind I might read your blogs and offer some support where and when i can.

Take care:):):):)
