Woot! I made it to my morning workout! This is the first day back since I've had the flu.

There are two worries when you get sick right at the start of a new program. 1) You'll fall out of your food habits 2) You'll fall out of the habit with exercise.

I wasn't too concerned about the foods because I feel like I have a grip. To be honest, I've been chomping at the bit to go work out so much for the past day or two, I didn't think I'd have a worry there either; but lo and behold, when 6:30am rolled around this morning, I found myself wanting to sleep in.

I procrastinated and lolled around in bed for 20 minutes... 30 .... 45... Then I snapped myself up and said, "What the #()$ are you doing? GET UP!"

So, even though I made myself a little late for work, I got in a 30 minute cardio session. I'm not sure why I stopped short of my usual 45... I think the reasons were two fold: First, I'm still coughing like a tuberculosis patient... and second, I didn't want to be TOO late to work. 30 minutes and 300 calories is a respectable burn for the day... heck, that is more burn than I used to do in 45 minutes when I first started.

I have a feeling tomorrow morning will be difficult, too... but its time to go :)

Foods have been great today so far... though I did miss my afternoon snack. by a few. Wonder what we're having for dinner? We've got some great lean left-overs. Heck - I should probably have a PBJ (flax style) since I pretty much ate dinner for breakfast.
