5 Week Progress Photo
I've lost about 14 lbs to-date... and I have to confess, the pictures don't show much. It looks like my moobs are a bit smaller but you can't really see much else! Bummer!
(For the uninitiated, "moobs" are man boobs - You can thank my wife for introducing me to that hilarious word.)
The Words That the Pictures Leave Out
What you can't see in the photo is that the guy on the left couldn't wear size 40 pants comfortably, but size 40 is loose on the guy on the right. For some reason this time around, I carried a lot of weight below my belly button - and that is what has been shrinking the fastest.
Excellent Day Yesterday
Sunday went better than expected. After dinner I saw that I was 500 calories short of what I needed for the day. I had 400 calories worth of yogurt (not frozen). At 2400 calories, intake and 1100 calories burned, I successfully fixed the damage I caused by being 550 over on Saturday. Excellent. Just need to keep it going
Today...
Oh - this was a tough morning. I woke up at 6am but did not want to get out of bed. I laid there thinking I was just too exhausted to get up and tried to go back to sleep - but couldn't. So around 6:30 I got up, took the dog out, and went to the weight room in our complex. I had to do 650 calories of cardio today to stay on track.
Remember this Fatigue... and Remember Saturday and Sunday
Usually once I get going in the morning, I pick up steam and power through, but today I was checking my Polar watch every few seconds to see if I was at 650 yet. I was going slower today and working at a lower intensity than usual, so it was taking longer than usual to reach my goal.
BUT... I made it!
Fifty minutes later, I hit 650! After I walked home, I surprised myself by having the energy to go straight up to the shower on the third floor. Usually I sit collapsed on the stairs for 5-10 mintues on the ground floor to recover. I expect it was the low intensity. It took 50 mintues to do 650 calories. Yesterday I was at 770 calories in 50 minutes.
On a typical day, I'm really worn out right after exercising, but feel fine throughout the day. With so much cardio yesterday and so few calories, I've felt drained all day today. It will be interesting to see when my body recovers. I hope that by tomorrow morning I'll be fine, but something tells me it will be Wednesday.
All for now,
B
