[12pm]
WOOT! Another milestone. Size 38's baby! This is the first time I've worn something smaller than a 40 in ... maybe a year. Wow.
Yesterday, someone at work noticed that I have lost weight. Of course, it may have been because I was wearing my dunna-nunnas (see Jan 20 blog) with the waist cinched up like a flour sack *laugh* but hey! I'll take it.
I've mentioned that my profile photo is from 2003 when I was nice and lean. I'm finally starting to get that nice jawline back as my body fat goes down.
Here is the Malone family from 11/28/2007 - This picture was taken appx 1 week before I started fixing my diet and exercise. This is what you get when you add 70 lbs to that profile picture.
Nice BodyFat Trend
I did a mid-week weigh in because I could tell that I looked leaner... The number hasn't moved. That's okay - I knew where I'd see it. When I picked up the Omron body fat monitor, it gave me the news I was looking for. I'm losing fat faster this week than last (or the past 4 weeks for that matter.
The Scale is All Over the Map, but Body Fat Drops Steadily
I have mentioned in the past that the Omron has a hard time telling water from lean mass. This is true, but it does a great job of providing consistent information on fat mass. Even when I saw a huge water weight loss in the first week, the Omron reported a reasonable fat loss for that period.
Fat Loss Record
12/08 71.8 lbs
12/15 70.8 lbs
12/22 67.1 lbs (Took this measurement at a different time of day - should be 68.5 or so)
12/29 67.0 lbs
01/05 65.4 lbs
01/12 64.3 lbs
01/19 63.3 lbs
Today 62.1 lbs (Thursday morning)
So that is 10 lbs of fat in almost 7 weeks - which is great. The trend for the past few weeks has been 1 lb of fat per week. I can safely double that... but the question is - how?
Burning Faster This Week!
The good news is that the fantastic performance this week on my foods and exercise have resulted in a week's worth of fat loss in 5 days. I'll be curious to see what the Omron has to say about my bodyfat come saturday morning.
To Crank, or Not to Crank?
I missed my workout this morning, but if I can fit it in later, I will be on track for a perfect 25% deficit week with 3 days low 1 day high. I bet I hit 1.5 lbs of fat lost. I want to have one more week like this one and if I get the same 1.5 lb loss, I'm going to crank it back up to 30%
Stay on Target!
Hmm... I'm going to check my schedule at work to see if I can come in late. (I think I have a morning meeting.) I'd really like to ge tmy workout in this morning.
#$*... meeting at 9am. Oh well - I'll have to see how calories shake out today. Sometimes I can eat 2100 calories and be okay (then work off 250 - to keep the workout short). I'd prefer 2500 and 650 to stay completely on track, but *shrug* either one will work
