[9:30am] Major burst of energy during the workout today! Two times I had this uncontrolable urge to sprint - so away I went! It felt
amazing.
Surplus?
Thing is - I haven't felt that before (well - not in years) and as much as I'd like to credit my low-sodium, whole-food lunch, I wonder if I went into calorie surplus yesterday. If I didn't and that is what maintenance feels like on a workout day - I can't WAIT to be done with the fat loss phase. Wow.
Well, I'm back to my deficit again today... I've got homemade soup in the fridge and my snacks ready to go.

Nobody Jumped My Claim
A new co-worker friend and I decided last week to have lunch today. When I received an email asking if we were still "on" I hesitated... I thought about cancelling because I brought my homemade soup and didn't want to blow my progress. But... I wanted to be social. I keep myself tied to this stupid desk all day and hardly get a chance to talk about anything except work.
Since we're new friends, I wasn't sure how she would react to the whole 'food plan' thing. After a few more minutes going back and forth, I called her up and explained the situation. I said, "As long as you won't be uncomfortable with me watching you eat, then I'm more than happy to go!"
As it turns out she is familiar with CK and has worked with a personal trainer herself! She even told me about a time she attended a funeral while she was rigorously tracking her foods. Rather than eat the hors d'oeurves, she brought her food along in a little brown bag *laugh* Now THAT is dedication.
Then... she suggested going to the Claim Jumper. Claim Jumper is one of my all time favorite restaurants, but I've been so good with my foods that I wasn't tempted in the slightest to stray from the plan. I ate my soup before we left for the restaurant, she had a nice oriental salad and we had a great conversation.
