View BRIENMALONE's food & exercise for this day
What an insane couple of days. I completely blew my time on Sunday so I had to crank on my school work non-stop Monday night. I got to bed around 1am and was absolutely fried.
When 6:30am rolled around >POINK< open go the eyes. I was way too wiped out to work out... This is supposed to be a low calorie day, but I was willing to trade hunger for z-z-z's. I lie in bed for 45 minutes before giving up. Oh well... Time to get going, right?
Oops...
I usually prepare my foods for the day the night before, but (obviously) last night wasn't a typical night. I managed to squeeze some prep time in while making my breakfast... got it all together, packed the kid in the car and left my lunch and both snacks on the counter.
Tick... Tick...
As I plowed through my day at work I kept looking at the clock. 9:30... 10... When 10:30 came, what would I do? I had to eat something, right? 10:30... 11...12...1pm... I'm working furiously but not eating and not looking for food. What am I doing?
Chicken or Sloth?
I guess I was kind of scared to eat something other than what I prepared. The wisdom in this is debatable... I had soup and tuna at my desk, I could have eaten that. They have fruit at the deli down stairs... even if it is just some crappy, tasteless apple that costs $1.50, that would be -something-, right?
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I was scared or just lazy.
Banks... and Wasted Time
I left work a little early to talk to Bank of America about a debt consolidation loan. I end up talking to a banker who bore a slight resemblance to Barak Obama, but with a booming gameshow host voice. As you might expect, he was the sort of guy who talked to sound good instead of communicating information. He wasted a full 20 minutes of my time trying to sell me on business services before telling me that he didn't actually do personal loans "They're all handled online - just go to our website"
"Yes... I'm familiar with your website." In spite of having good credit, I only qualified for 1/4 of what I was looking for at a ridiculous 20% interest rate. Goodbye B of A. Wells Fargo was much more accommodating... So what if their customer service stinks? I hate banks.
Home Again
I decided to burn some vacation time and take the afternoon off. I grabbed my lunch off the kitchen counter, chucked it in the microwave and sat down to pull credit reports for me and my wife. I still can't believe that it costs $80 to get credit reports and fico scores from all 3 bureaus. What a friggin rip off.
Around 3:45, I took a glorious hour and a half nap... then got up to work on getting our taxes together.
Blemish...
Around 8pm I ate dinner and accidentally went 200 calories over for the day. Crap. So here it is almost 9pm... and I've got to go burn 200 calories on a full stomach.... or let this day stick out like a sore thumb on that fantastic net calorie chart.
Crap. I'm wiped out... Tomorrow is a high calorie day... I'll figure out what to do in the morning.
