Holy smokes! The latest tweak to my Polar F55 did the trick. The watch now calculates calories burned based on my lean weight and it is registering a much more conservative number for calories burned.

Under/Over
I weigh 235 lbs right now, but I would be 183 at 4% bodyfat - so I told my watch that I'm 183. Now my 45 minute workout reports 500 calories burned instead of 650-700. 500 calories is probably an underestimate for the amount of work I'm doing, but I'd rather underguess than overestimate. An underestimate means I eat too little and risk losing weight too fast. An overestimate means I my program stalls (like it has).

Tuesday to Tuesday
Since I just got this dialed in, I'll do a weigh-in tomorrow morning, then check how things are progressing next Tuesday. Two weeks from now I should have everything dialed in!

Time to Get UP
My goal for this week is to start getting up at 5am to work out instead of 6:30. I really need to be back at the house by 7am to help with getting my son ready in the mornings.
