Intentions
I started the day with great intentions (as usual). I ate exactly on schedule - even ate exactly according to my planned meals. A co-worker brought around a tin of cupcakes and offered one to me. I politely refused. She looked very hurt and she told me that she had baked them. Sigh. "I'll take one, please" I said trying to rescue the moment. I kept the cupcake on my desk for most of the day, then discreetely disposed of it. -- Willpower was in check. (and I LOVE cupcakes!)
But then I completely blew it with dinner. For Valentine's day, my wife said she needed some comfort food to help her deal with her difficult day. I suggested Pat & Oscar's family meal and she lept at the idea.
Pat My Who?
Pat & Oscars is a pizza and pasta place. The family meal is a half of a rotissery chicken, a medium cheese pizza, salad and 12 fat sticks... I mean "breadsticks with butter and parmesian".
I had two breadsticks on the way home and that was all she wrote. The gloves were off.
Binge
When I got home, I stripped the meat off of the chicken (including the skin) and mixed the chicken in with the salad. A healthy portion of that with two - maybe three slices of cheese pizza, plus a big scoop of the pasta marinara and milk. I had two short-bread cookies and more milk for dessert... followed by more of those *&$# Cadbury mini-eggs and even more milk.
I'm going to try to total it all up in a sec... but I'm almost afraid to look.
Busy Work
Once again I got ready to work out at the gym this morning and once again I stopped myself. I just scanned in the Body Sculpting Bible and have been cleaning up the text so I can turn it into an MP3 that I can listen to for inspiration and guidance. There is a lot of 'editing' involved in doing something like this... hours and hours. But the end result is a digital version of the book that I can read anywhere, and an audio version that I can listen to in my mp3 player. If the content is good enough - the effort is completely worthwhile.
So I frittered away my morning editing that stupid book instead of working out my legs. I'm dreading the weigh-in tomorrow... I really blew it twice this week. Agh!
HOLY #$(*
3600+ calories??? Holy crap, I really need to get a grip.

Thanks GI - I don't usually need one, but now that you mention it - I haven't had a protein shake in a while. Usually I'll have a 1/4 serving of some mass gainer to fill up any remaining calories I have for the day. I've also cut cottage cheese out... Hm. Maybe I should put both back in? I'll check my macros and see.

Okay, there! Don't get discouraged. I never hear you speak of a cheat meal. Do you allow yourself one at least once a week, for santity's sake? That sounds about right for a cheat meal. Just don't do another until next week.
