Son
I'm pretty sure the universe does not want me to get a full night's sleep. *laugh* Our son (who turns three in April) gave up his night time pacifier a few days ago. He has been extra needy at bed-time, which is to be expected. What surprised us is that hes not as much anxious as he is chatty. His usual bedtime is around 8pm. Usually well put him down after a few stories and hell be out for the night. Now when we walk out past his bedroom we get a loud HELLO!!! HI! HI DAD! HI MOM! *laugh*
Schnauzer
Well, he had a nightmare last night around 1am and flipped out when his comfort device wasnt there. There is nothing quite like the shriek of a child to get your adrenaline coursing. We all finally got to sleep around 2am. At 3:30, our flippin schnauzer starts whine/barking. He usually only does this when he is really in need of something usually bathroom or a drink of water. So, I ran him outside... Okay the shriek of a child AND frigid night air are good for adrenaline.
Do What You Can in the Time You Have
I woke up at 6:45
far too late to go to the gym. The nice thing about the break-in routines that I use is that they really dont take much time and they dont require much equipment! I missed my workouts on both Saturday and Sunday
I couldnt blow it Monday, too; so, while my wife got our son up for the day, I hit the floor and did my abs exercises! It took maybe 15 minutes including a quick warm up.
Sure, I didnt get to any cardio, but thats okay. The weight training is actually more important right now.
Tonight weve got to wrap up the final assignment for my class, then Im off for a week! (Well off school anyway.)
Welp thats all for now. Im off to the doctor for a check-up!
----
Don't you love that... You go to the doctor, and they send you to a lab. The lab says they're not the right lab, so they send you to another lab. I spent all afternoon on what should have been a 30 minute appt and I still have to reschedule.
Ah well - at least I got a hair cut in.

LOL I figured I'd get sympathy from the moms in the crowd. Thanks, guys. To be honest, my wife really takes the brunt of the late calls... she is truly amazing.

Amen to the no sleep. I wish I could offer some words of advice... don't have any. I have a four year old who gave up her Paci at three too, and has not stopped talking since. I just had another baby this year, and I caught her regressing and stealing his pacifiers. I felt so bad for her... They are like crack or something I guess... I hated taking it from her... Not only did she start talking, but now she is coming into our room too. I took the paci away to avoid braces in the future since she had a full mouth of teeth... but wow... for some sleep... I might just start saving for the braces. Ha! Oh ya... I am a dog lover... but dang-it dumb schnauzit!!!

I hear you on the lack of sleep. My little guy will be two in a couple of months. The other night he was up from 1:30 to about 4:30. I think that epsisode left me so drained, i ended up sick. Oh well, they're so dang cute...
