Not according to plan

Tuesday, June 3rd 2008

Ah well - slightly off plan today. I ate the breakfast I intended, but didn't have it until 11am. I missed lunch again even though I worked from home today. When my wife brought home pizza, I didn't argue. Fortunately, I didn't go overboard. Just 2 slices (of a Costco-sized pizza... gigantic! 717 calories) Of course, pregnant friend Stacia brought over smores for some evil reason. Again - not overboard. I only had 2.

Afterward, I was ready to raid the fridge after dinner, but stopped myself...

Contact!

Monday, June 2nd 2008

I've hooked up with my trainer! Woo hoo!! She called me today and we've scheduled some time on Friday to get started. She's going to evaluate me -- see where I am physically and what I can handle. I'm very excited.

History
When we first started working together I was single and she had a 3 year old son. Her little boy is 8 years old now, and I've got a 3 year old son. It sounds like she is in school, too -- so I'm glad to see that we still have things in common.

Pack Mule

Hello Again, Old Friend

Monday, May 26th 2008

This is an email to my former trainer Rebecca. I'm very excited at the prospect of working with her again. (It has been 5 years.)

Hi Rebecca,

Here is what I'm thinking:
My goal is to lean out. I want to be cut by the time I graduate in December/January.

I have the knowledge to do this myself (thanks to you and a few good books), but... I'm seeking your help for four specific reasons: 1) To give me a couple of exercise sets that I can do in my present condition 2) To check my fo...

Levels of Hunger - Starving Past the Craving?

Tuesday, May 20th 2008

I had something interesting happen today... To start, let me say that I don't advocate this path, I just thought it was interesting.

The past few days, I have been working flat-out. I had major assignments due for school and a major software release at work. I brought my usual healthy fare for snacks and lunch today, but I ate -none- of it. Protein pasta and w/ground turkey and tomato sauce for breakfast... and nothing from 5am until 5pm.

At 10:30am, I looked at the clock and was raven...
