Turning Back Time: Feb 8, 2001...

Thursday, May 15th 2008

I love nostalgia. I had to review some really old emails for work today. In the process, I saw some personal conversations that really brought back memories. (Yes, I keep all of my email -- every piece.)

The memories were of my first experience with a personal trainer and they came in the form of an email to an old friend, Susan.

Susan and Synchronicity
Susan and I are no longer in touch (for better or worse). She was a sweet, yet horribly foul-mouthed, amazingly strong, fitness-mi...

Potatoes Not Prozac Experiment

Monday, May 12th 2008

About a week ago I powered through Potatoes not Prozac by Kathleen DesMaisons, and was so inspired that I jumped back into my clean, sugar free diet.

While this is a bit of an oversimplification, the approach is valid.

There are a few common ways to estimate BMR. The Harris-Ben...

Furious

Saturday, April 12th 2008

I just lost a blog that I spent two hours writing. I was trying to type the letter "I" followed by a space... but I missed the shift key and hit [ctrl]+I, which opened my favorites, and the [space bar] which loaded the first entry on my favorites list. Because I left the blog page, I lost everything.

When I make my own diet and exercise blogging site, I think I'll include an easy little piece of AJAX code that automatically saves a draft every few minutes. I've lost so many blogs ...
