BRIENMALONE's CalorieKing Blog

So good.

Friday, March 21st 2008

It is amazing how good a whole food meal makes you feel inside. I just polished off some of my "famous" homemade soup.

Brien's Soup (high carb/low fat version)
10oz baked potato + skin
4 oz of cooked chicken breast
1 cup of Imagine organic soup (tomato basil)
2 servings of broccoli and cauliflower.
(550 calories)

It's a huge meal - I eat it from a 1 liter container (4.7 cups) and it is almost full. Brien's Soup is a bit bland to eat without salt, but eat it ...

Rowing on an Empty Stomach

Wednesday, March 19th 2008

I finally... FINALLY got back to the gym. WOOT! At 6:30am, I parked myself on a rowing machine for about half an hour listening to the Body Sculpting Bible.

As I have been completely derailed for the past two or three weeks (and have undoubtedly gained weight), talking about what has been going on will either sound like excuses, or it will reinforce my derailment (or...

Ding! Birfdeh!

Thursday, March 13th 2008

So, I'm 36 today. :D Is it weird to LIKE getting older? I've wanted to be "grown up" since I was 6... Why? because you can go anywhere you want to go, and you can buy whatever you want to buy. Well... at least that's what 6 year old Brien thought.

I like 36 because I have a handle on how the world works and where I fit. I've achieved a level of professional success... I'm comfortable in my own skin. I'm happily married. I know what I want out of life and I know how to get it. At 2...
