View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
Feeling very tired today, but not sick.
Something good came out of the fitness tests on Saturday. Between the guy who did the testing, his manager, and myself, we managed to convince my prince charming that he would benefit a LOT from personal training. He decided to postpone the purchase of his new computer and get the training, instead. I was shocked!!! But, very happy. He has horrible posture, no core strength, isn't very flexible, and has some muscle imbalance in his legs that makes him walk kinda funny. He's also been suffering from mild lower back pain for a while. His BMI is only 18%, but he carries that 18% on his mid-section and he has NO abdominal strength AT ALL. This will be huge for him! I'm going to try to talk him in to letting me take before and after pictures. He's already sexy, but if he gets straightened out and stronger, he will be even sexier!
I keep measuring myself every day in hopes of seeing some changes. I think I am finally seeing a decrease! That makes me happy. Now, I will stop until Saturday. I got notified that my scale shipped out yesterday and I am very anxious to get it. 3 - 5 days for shipping, it said. I've decided that when I get it, I will weight myself in full gym gear right before we go to the gym and then I will compare it to the gym scale so that I can get a feel for how different it is from the home scale.
My two-day long case of the hungries seems to have subsided, as well. After my 850 calorie lunch yesterday, I haven't felt hungry at all. I tried to do a moderate amount of extra eating Sunday and Monday, just trying to eat back the exercise calories. That is hard to gauge, though, because I'm sure CK's calories burned numbers are way too high--I figure by at least 50%. Hopefully I managed it well. Saturday will tell! Well, I suppose I did manage it well (despite what the scale may show) because I didn't over-eat and I didn't fill myself up with junk--well, I probably could have had a little LESS ice cream.
That is good management, in my opinion.

I read this on MSN.com:
As obesity rates climb among children, health officials are warning parents about the dangers of junk food and lack of exercise. Yet few speak about parents who meticulously count every calorie that crosses their lips.
That type of obsession can be just as destructive and eventually teaches kids to weigh their self-worth on the scale, said Christine Gerbstadt, spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association.
No matter what you do, you'll never do
ANYTHING right!
