Been really really busy with work. I've been working on my boss about the virtues of my learning more about Microsoft SQL Server. During my review, I told him that I know he disagrees, but that I still feel strongly about increasing my knowledge 'cuz I do database stuff EVERY stinkin' day. He must have been in a reasonable frame of mind that day because ACTUALLY AGREED and told me to look into it. Yay...another adventure.

Lots of things going on in the brain lately. I've been fixing up my house in such a way that I am preparing for tenants to move back into it. I've been going on and on about finding a fixer-upper to move into, then fix, then doing it all over again. My hubby and I had a long talk last night about this "desire" of mine--more like an obsession, if you ask me. I have decided that I need to get over being mad at my boss. He has really retarted ideas. Sometimes I can talk him out of things, sometimes I can't. In exchange for putting up with his "psychotic episodes" (I don't really mean that) I get to work from home, take long lunches with my son at school, take him to school and pick him up most days, spend most days at home with my husband, cook healthy meals every night, take care of person errands (like grocery shopping) during the lunch...Wednesday, January 23rd 2008
So I just got home from my really retarted day out shaking hands with my boss. It was just as stupid and a waste of time as I thought it would be. Even though I found out I was getting a 10% raise, it was still dumb. I got my review over lunch at Panera (I lovooooove Panera and my boss knows that). Still disgusted with my boss. Still no word on when I will get my money. I have to go waste tomorrow shaking a client's hand. Five hours in the car just to meet in person. I'm not in sales and this type of crap is a complete waste. In my opinion, it is a complete waste, even if you are in sales. Grrrr.
It is so easy to get tunnel vision and just stay focused on the negative things. I have a backlog of work to do because everyone is trying to get W-2's out and end-of-year stuff done...
