Experiment Day 3: Hungry before dinner and shortly before bed time yesterday. No mood problems or any other potential side effects, yet. I will not have a second cup of coffee today and see if I get the headache again, or not. Hypoglycemia seems to be in check, too. :y:

10:40: No headache. Woohoo! Feeling tired, but it is probably because I didn't get to sleep until after midnight then a really bad storm passed through at 3:00 AM. Kept me awake until almost 5:00 AM because I was listening for the tornado sirens; then had a hard time getting back to sleep after all that noise!!! There are sooo many fences and trees down around here right now...Looks like the city agencies got most of threes cut down that fell on the roads, though, before the morning commute got going. That always helps.

I set the alarm to get up for my run this morning, but there was still a tornado watch in effect--and I was really tired. Bummer. Maybe tomorrow.

So far I am pleased with the results of my experiment. For those who are interested, I am putting myself on a low calorie diet Monday through Friday then I will eat regular weight-loss calories on the weekend to fuel my higher activity levels and to prevent my metabolism from freaking out. I plan to do this for three weeks then have at least a week of regular weight-loss calorie days then evaluate the effectiveness of this plan at the end of the fourth week. I've gained too much weight back and I am at the point of having to buy larger clothes now (because I didn't keep my old ones as I was shrinking). Not gonna happen!!! It is cheaper to lose weight rapidly for a couple of weeks than to buy new clothes.

I've been thinking about what people go through with weight loss surgery and researched the diets that weight loss surgery patients go on. I'm not willing (and probably not able) to reduce my calories to those amounts, but if they can do it healthfully, then I can too. I think I am still at that weight range where I would be considered a canidate for the surgery so that means I can go on the diet. Without all of the surgical complications! Dieting for five days at a time seems pretty easy to me, anyway.

I check in on Friday's so I will post the results of four days (three, really) of my my experiment in my blog. Next week I go to Houston so I won't have a full five days of the diet then, either. But, I can do my best while I am forced to eat three meals a day out at restaurants.
