View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
I've made it through the first week of being home alone. Woohoo. Last night wasn't so bad, really. Going to the gym after work was genius!

By the time I get back from there, get myself cleaned up and fed, I have very little time to brood. A friend came by last night and we stayed up until almost midnight. I slept until 8 this morning. It felt good.
Hubby called me this morning and is still having a good time with his friends. I want to cuddle up with him pretty badly and just talk. It's not the same over the phone. I really miss that. We are a very intimate couple...I didn't realize how often we just simply touched each other during the day--until it wasn't there anymore. I suppose these are the things that great marriages are built on. We hit the four year mark last month and we still act like newlyweds.

When we are out and about running errands, and all that domestic stuff, people ask us all the time if we are recently married. I love that. I'd like to hit the 25 year mark with this one and still have that same question thrown at us.
My kiddo gets back sometime next week. Not sure if it is Thursday or Friday. I'll have to spend some time getting his room deep-cleaned before he gets back. This is the only time of the year that he is gone long enough for me to do it. I should get started with that tonight that way I am not rushed to get it done. THAT is a project, let me tell you!!! I am not one of those parents that demand a clean room every night. He has to completely clean it up once a month so that I can vacuum and dust and I go in once a year and move furniture to dust and clean everything (and purge "crap" for him

). I don't stress about the mess because there is enough in life to worry about--and his room has a door that can close. I remember as a child not being able to hardly walk in my bedroom, and I keep a tidy house now. He'll figure it out as he matures and I won't raise my blood pressure in the interim. Works well all-around. He has friends with militant parents that demand a clean room so, when I make him do his monthly cleanup, he doesn't give me any problems about it and just cranks up the music and gets it done.

Yeah, he's soooo my kid!!!
I got through an enormous amount of built-up mail and paperwork yesterday. It's nice to be able to see the surface of my desk, again. I'll be bale to clean it up tonight, too. Bonus.
Okay, I am leaving to meet with another friend at about 4 today so I am going to get to work on this integration project...
