I have had the opportunity to meet several young, ex-military men who fought in the Iraq war over the last couple of months. I spent the day with one of them today and we had ample opportunity to talk about just stuff in general. I've noticed something disturbing about these amazing men. They've all been very bright, uneducated, hard-working and CARING people. Oooooh...I got my little man back!!!! They pulled up to the house at about 5:30 yesterday and he ran in the house and practically jumped on me! It was sooo nice to have a house full of people. But, it made me miss my husband more. Mom and I went to the grocery store after we got back from dinner and I got some stuff in the house to eat. No beer.
My boss wanted me to go to San Antonio to do some training next week but I told him that I didn't think I'd be able to make it...

My kiddo is on his way home this morning! Happy days. They have not reached the half-way point, yet, but they are close. They might stop overnight somewhere, but I really hope that they don't. I miss people in my house and I miss my boy. I know I will not feel this way shortly after he gets home, though.

I had a great time in Houston (on Friday night, anyway). It was good to see my friends again. The trip down there and back would have been a LOT better had I gone alone, though. The people I went with were not exactly the most hygiene-conscious types in the world. Ugh. Getting laundry done. Getting the house in order (again). Getting all my lovely green friends watered and fed. I am not, however, getting any "work" done. That can be a problem.
I have to run an errand in a few minutes. As soon as I get back, it is nose to the grindstone to get this project wrapped up so that I can schedule to deploy it next week.
