View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

There are only four more hours to go until it is 5:00. This has been an absolutely horrendous week. Personally, professionally, physically, mentally, etc...blah blah blah. I really don't think I am pregnant and I am just getting to the point now where I don't care. I can ignore it all and just keep on keepin' on.

My girlfriend is going to stay in Dickinson while Ike barrels through, which is SOUTH OF HOUSTON by like 30 miles!!! I was hoping she would come up here but she said she isn't leaving unless they issue a mandatory evacuation. She said she would drive up if they lost, power, though. I miss her. She also said something about getting hit pretty hard up here, but it won't be as bad as they will get it down there. Ike is supposed to hit Houston as a hurricane and then Dallas as a tropical storm, I think. I'll take tropical storm Ike over hurricane Ike, any ol' day. :D

Since the weather is going to be bad all weekend, I think I am going to go out tonight. Sounds like this weekend will be a good "cleaning and get the house organized and put back together" weekend. I'll get my bonus money for the quarter sometime next month (which will probably be a LOT of money) and I'm going to, at the very least, replace the carpeting. That will require some things to be cleaned up, put up and thrown out! We're almost out of credit card debt, so I might just wipe the rest of that out, too. We'll see. There are some other smallish things that I need to get fixed up around here, too.

There is no more travel on my schedule. I know that will change soon. But, it is very calming, for whatever strange reason, to know there are no trips scheduled. And that I control where and when I go, for a bit. I know I'll get antsy in a week or two to get back on the road, though. :$ I've got Browsville, TX; Jacksonville, FL; San Antonio, TX; Minneapolis, MN and Nashville, TN over the next couple of months. And, some more Odessa thrown in every now and then for good measure. Oh, and I can't forget Austin...I'm sure we'll have another good ol' "Corporate Team Meeting" before the end of the year. :barf3:

Oh yeah, and the boss has threatened a team bonding weekend in San Antonio where we bring our spouses but have to leave the kids. I'm the only one with kids not old enough to stay home alone, so this will be extra "fun" for us. I tried to talk him into just giving us the cash equivalent of this bonding excursion and call it a day...but he didn't like my idea so much. I'd be okay pretending to like my coworkers more if I got extra cash for it. I promise.

God I hate the team bonding events. But it might be nice in San Antonio. How are you feeling? And stay dry.
