View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
So I have gained just shy of 8 pounds in two weeks, eating the CK recommended calories of ~ 2300 (average) per day.
I'm happy it is Friday. That is about all the positive/good/not evil things I have to share right now.

Something good (x2) to report! Cuz', you know, I needed some of that today.
1.) The boy got his cast taken off his leg today--albeit almost a week early. He's been complaining of pain for about a week, or so, inside at the heel and the inner foot, etc. He couldn't even put his foot down yesterday so I decided to cry uncle and tell the doc that the cast had to go. Doc said it was probably due to him putting stuff in it--the boy promised he didn't (except for one pencil one time that he 'fessed up to). I took sides with the boy. And, the boy was NOT lying (whew)!!! My poor baby had popped blisters all over his foot, toes, heel and ankle...seven total, all at least the size of quarters. Doc had to eat his words, and you could tell it was painful for him.

The kid definitely has a high tolerance for pain (just like his momma)! He's in the boot for the next four weeks and the doc said it was okay to let him go without the boot if he was sitting, sleeping or whatever didn't involve walking. So, we begin the process of healing all of those nasty blisters AND he can WASH THAT STINKY LEG!!!
2.) My boss took today off and left me with three hours of work to do.

So I can pretty much blow off work for today. Good thing, too, with the unscheduled trip to the doctor. I needed a light day of work. He knows it. I really need to take some of that vacation time, though.
