View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

There has been an increase is stray animals in the neighborhood over the last few weeks. Lots of dogs. And two more cats that I've never seen before. Since you really can't tell if cats are stray, or just indoor/outdoor cats, I guess I can only count the dogs. I used to catch the dogs and return them to their owners. But, I got bit once and the animals I have caught lately don't have tags. So, unless I "know" the dogs from a previous rescue effort, I don't bother anymore. It's sad, and it makes me mad because they like to dig and roll around in my flower garden. :angry2:

What bothers me the most about this is that our phase of the subdivision has the path that leads to the back entrance for the elementary and middle schools. We all call it the "kid superhighway" and all of these stray dogs and all of these children together worry me. We haven't really had the foreclosure and home valuation problems here that a lot of the country seems to be experiencing, so I wonder what is going on with these pets? We have a wonderful animal control program here and people just have to call, or drop off their animals at the shelter if they don't want them. I know...like writing this is going to make it any better, right?

Wish I could say that I was able to get the calories under control yesterday, but I can't. :$ And to make it worse, when I left my friend's house on Saturday, I scraped the back of my heel pretty badly on a stone step and gouged out some skin pretty deeply. It hurts to even put a sock on, not to mention a shoe, so I can't even exercise to try to offset the damage. Go me. :bang:

Today has been a super-productive day at work. On the very very very RARE occasions that I somehow manage to manage my time well, I love my job even that much more. I do have a serious problem with time management. Luckily, my boss and project manager know this about me (I am very candid about it) and are usually constructive with their feedback. I am also very willing to let others manage this portion of my professional life. I am awesome at what I do, just no so much in the scheduling and time estimates. I've got this absolutely horrible habit of having a client call me needing to ask me "a quick question." Yeah...not so much. Before I realize it, I am two hours behind schedule. Wash, rinse, repeat the next day and, well, you get the picture.

I requested vacation time Thursday and Friday. I didn't get an answer. I never do, though. I'll have to ask/remind him again on Wednesday...oh well. I also made an appointment to see a new OB/GYN. My period is going on two weeks late, now. They couldn't see me until next Tuesday. But, they have all of the diagnostic instruments there like a lab and ultrasound and whatnot. They asked me three times if I had taken a pregnancy test because they wanted to enter my symptoms into their new computer system. :laugh5: I lied and said yes. Well, sorta lied. The doctor took one six/eight weeks ago. Then they asked how many and when I took the last one. :teeth3: Everyone keeps thinking I'm pregnant...what looks like pregnancy, acts like pregnancy, but isn't pregnancy??? LOL. That is the riddle I want solved.

hope the heel heals soon! I too am a life long, big boned, heavy, chucky, thick gal. Even at my heaviest people would say but, you are solid-you don't look that heavy. I don't care-I don't want to be this heavy!! I lost 132lbs back around 1997-8-I felt so good-healthy. I want that back......I am perfectly content not being "skinny minny" I just want to feel better-looking better is just icing on the cake so to speak. I am a bit discouraged because the pounds don't seem to be coming off like they have in the past. Seems like I have to work longer and harder-not complaining per se just stating the facts. I will get there eventually. You look great by the way (and you have an awesome smile!!) Keep up the good work!:wink3:
