View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

My boss is planning a TWO DAY (Friday and Saturday) corporate team meeting and holiday party/dinner thing in December. We are supposed to bring our spouse, but not the children. I am the only one in the company with small children at home, still. I advised our admin that I would not be attending the party/dinner aspect and would depart after the meetings.

So, I get the call from the boss wondering why I would not be attending the party. :bang: I told him that aside from the family portion, that it was my way of protesting the expense of it all, especially given the state of the economy. And, I also have something scheduled for that Sunday. He told me that I don't have to worry about the financial impact, that it is the CEO's decision. I told him that I'd much rather have a paycheck in six months, than a dinner and hotel stay with my colleagues. It is my decision to make. I can decline it if I like. I do not want to be the ONLY person there without my spouse, either. AND, as if that wasn't enough, the admin said she was looking into rooms at the local extended stay!!! YUCK. I don't want to stay in one of those places, not to mention bring my family!!!!!!!! She doesn't know any better, though. She doesn't travel. I'm REALLY hoping the CEO veto's the whole thing. He has demonstrated some fleeting moments of sanity and vision on occasion...

Yesterday was a complete mess in the food department. I started out today with breakfast in hopes of avoiding another yesterday. I haven't been consistently eating breakfast in months. I need to pick that little habit back up, again. Not much else to say except for it looks like I may actually get my vacation days tomorrow and Friday! :rock1:

What do you normally have for breakfast when you do? I agree..expenses of that type right now are not advisable. Scary out there. :) And I think you will enjoy having a teen. You and your son seem to have a great time together and excellent communication.:heart2:
