It has been a busy few days. I leave for Odessa this afternoon--hopefully for the very last time (for this project, anyway). Looks like Wichita Falls is on tap for the following week. THEN vacation!!!

We finally bought a new TV stand for the new, fancy TV we bought at the beginning of the year. It took me FOREVER to find something that I liked and then, when I did find it, it was online and they wanted $100 for shipping. I just so happened to be looking through all of the sales ads a couple weeks ago in the Sunday paper and came across that very same TV stand at a brick-and-mortar store for the same price as I found online, sans the shipping. I was very excited. I got it assembled yesterday and had to re-wire EVERYTHING, of course. Not to mention all of the cleaning and organizing. That was pretty much an all day project. Looks fantastic now.

We set the old TV stand out on the curb yesterday and was surprised to still see it there last night. It's gone now! Usually stuff gets picked up in just an hour, or two...I thought I was gonna have to post it on craigslist.

I'm still not sure what I want to do with what I call the sitting room (which is technically a formal living room). Hubby wants a recliner before the baby gets here which will not fit with the current furnishings in the room. I love my chaise and the really unique glass-top table I have in the room. I'm thinking about selling the table and the rug and getting a larger, softer rug...more room for the baby on the floor. But, I'm not sure if I can arrange the room very well with a recliner and a chaise. The table has no functional purpose, so it's not a big deal to oust it. Wonder if I should try to get rid of my beloved chaise and get two recliners? I dunno...I'm more a fan of large, overstuffed chairs than I am recliners.

Gots lots to do before the trip so I better get after it. I hope everyone has a fantastic, calorie-controlled week.
