A full week of travel last week. My boss being an @$$ today and I have to get on a plane for Nashville tomorrow...I am really hoping the predicted ice storm comes full force and cancels my flight. I'm tired and cranky and I don't like going north in the winter.I'm thinking I'll get some more fire wood, just in case we have utility outages. I'd love to spend a day at home huddled up in front of the fireplace with my family.

Who knew installing new appliances would be so complicated? I bought a new cooktop, oven and microwave and the cooktop is on backorder.
I got the oven and microwave installed yesterday and it took several hours. Well, the MICROWAVE took several hours...what a b!tch. But, it was a learning experience and it looks great. Can't wait until the cooktop comes in. Now, I have to figure out how to use 'em. I've never cooked with a convection oven before so this will be another learning experien...

I picked up my friend from work last night and took him home. It made his wife very angry that I did this. I took him to work this morning and she slammed the door on him on his way out because I was taking him to work.
Some people need to be medicated/institutionalized...how bad would it be of me to say "out loud" that I find the drama amusing? I do and I just can't help it. I'm sure it's not funny to either one of them, but I just can't help but laugh at it. Their young...

I made a new friend a few months ago. Very different from the type of people I usually end up meeting. He is younger (27), three young kids and an unemployed/hypochondriac wife, financially unstable and on the verge of getting fired and evicted. I am a cat lover.With that said, I am not an outdoor-cat lover. I live in a suburb of Dallas - Fort Worth. Everyone keeps their lawns mowed, bushes trimmed and their homes well-maintained.
