View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

We visited the natural birthing center this morning. The tour/interview lasted 1.5 hours and they were happy to keep on talking, if we let them. =D It was incredibly informal, the women were amazing (and I know so few women I would EVER classify as amazing), and both Prince Charming and I felt 100% confident that this was the right route for us. We talked about the OB that I had an appointment with in two weeks (the one who is their on call doctor) and they told me that if I felt like it, to go ahead and go see him, but that he is going to ask me what I am doing there and refer me right back over to them. Apparently, he refers all of the new patients that he sees, that want a natural birthing experience, to the birthing center. The only reason I wanted to go see the OB was to get an early ultrasound. After my miscarriage, I am a little worried and that would go a long way in easing my (irrational) fears. The midwife gave me a card to a facility where I can simply call and schedule an ultrasound on my own. No referral required. They told me that I can direct my own pre-natal care. They are there to educate me and it is up to me to decide what I will and will not agree to. We loved it.

So I made my first appointment with them for the end of June. They do not see a need to see anyone prior to 12 weeks, unless something happens. Hubby and I are both of the mindset that the cost is irrelevant at this point. We have to have the fees paid before the due date. Shouldn't be an issue.

I still have no work to do so I decided to play hookie today and get some stuff taken care of. I told my boss that much, too. It's nice to not have to pretend to be sick in order to take a sick day. Food is getting back on track and exercise is just rockin-n-rollin.
