Today seems sooo much better than the last several! My friend and I were able to go to the lake last night and it was nice to just stroll around. We chatted all evening long and before I knew it, it was 10:30! The lake and the company were very therapeutic for me! He is a high school teacher and is off for the summer, so he is going to come out to my place on Friday. I also have my next ultrasound on Friday (I'm really really hoping to get taken off the pelvic rest) and I decided to just take a vacation day. My friend has only been in the area about a year and I am going to show him some interesting places where he could take dates on Friday, and I will just enjoy NOT being alone.

I am in my second trimester, now. Yay! I am just waiting for this nausea and sleep deprivation business to go away like it is supposed to once you get through the first trimester...I sure could use that "pregnancy glow" and energy to get busy with getting my life back in order.

I've spent so much of the last three months sick and exhausted, that I feel overwhelmed with stuff to do to get ready for the baby. I have purchased some things here and there (larger items) that I found excellent deals on (like a $300 Chicco stroller/car seat combo for $108 that was a floor model at Toys R Us), but there is still so much. I can't even remember all that I even need to buy! I started a list this morning of things I think I need and I am hoping that will, at least, give me a place to start. I totally forgot about diaper bags until someone said something about them on CK not too long ago!!! Scott and I wandered through Babies R Us for about 15 minutes a couple weeks ago and just thought so much of the stuff they are selling for infants is overkill. We'll need to go back when we have some more time and really figure out what we need and don't need. Then I will try to find some of it gently used on Craigslist. I've seen so much baby stuff advertised as "not used" or "barely used" that it seems silly to buy something retail that may get used a few times, you know?

Enough rambling. I'm happy to be feeling better!

So...first my little boy wanted to come home early from his vacation. Now, my big boy wants to come home early from *his* vacation.

I'm flattered that they both miss home so much...but, what have I turned them into? LOL Looks like I have ruined the both of them! My poor Prince Charming is way worse off than the boy, though. He's coming home very very early on Saturday morning and doesn't even want to wait that long.
