View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

My son has swine flu, according to the lovely doctor. :n: I am 5 1/2 months pregnant. Ugh! :n: :n:

I spent almost all day with him in my bed yesterday. He just wanted me to be next to him, he felt so bad. The doctor was more concerned about me, than him, and told me to stay away from him until he was better. That is almost impossible. I called my Dad and told him about it and he offered to take my boy until he was better. I had VERY mixed feelings about that. But, I talked to the boy and he said that he'd feel better (less stressed) about staying with my Dad because he doesn't want to make me sick. :cry2: I know how much he "needs" me to be around when he feels bad but he is putting the health of his little baby sister, and myself, before his comfort. That really makes me sad. And proud. But mostly sad. :cry2: I don't feel very well, myself, at the moment but I am hopeful it is because I was up most of the night checking on him and worrying about his crazy fever, and hoping part of it is sympathy pains. :n:

Good news is, his lungs sound clear. He's prone to developing pneumonia and I was/am worried about that.

Gosh, I'm sure that's really scary besides feeling sick. What a smart son you have and how lucky you are to have your dad be able to take him. Hopefully you'll be able to talk to him on the phone often and can help him feel better, of course it's always better with Mom. You just need to make good healthy choices for all of you. You'll all be better before you know it. I wish I was closer to help.
