View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
So I've had headaches constantly for the last few days. It went away after the M&M incident and I was craving ice cream this afternoon...so I got some (historically) sickeningly sweet sundae concoction from Braum's and it was amazing (no way I would have ever touched it before being pregnant). And my headache was gone about 15 minutes later. And I felt wonderful afterwards, and still do.
After arguing with myself, and my Prince Charming chiming in, I decided to call the midwives and told them that I have felt bad for the better part of four weeks (went through all the symptoms) and that I've found that saturating my body with sugar seems to be "curing" me temporarily. The midwife I talked to said that it sounded like I have taken too many carbs out of my diet. They preach every time I go see them to limit my damn carbs, and I brought that to her attention, as well. She recommended that I slowly increase my carbs (healthy ones, of course) over the next week and see if I feel better. I really hope that I do. She seems to think that *all* of the problems I've been having could be tied back to not eating enough carbs. Yeah, my gut instincts have been telling me this, but when you have a professional constantly preaching "limit carbs," it makes you want to listen if that is what is supposed to be best for the baby. But, I don't want to feel like this for the next three months, either!!! Cindy is going to have leftover roasted chicken breast on her whole grain wheat bread for dinner tonight!
Here's hoping for an improvement to what ails me!

that makes a lot of sense on the carbs. Let me know how it goes and your getting closer to meeting your daughter in person.
