View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
It seems that no matter how healthy mom and baby are, delivering a post-mature baby at a birth center with a midwife is prohibited by state laws.
My midwife explained that my two choices were to consider their version of an induction at the end of the week, or be forced to deliver in a hospital and my care will have to be transferred to an obstetrician, who will immediately insist on an induction using medications.
I think that baby is going to stay in there until someone makes her come out. So, if there is no baby by 9:30 on Friday morning, I am to go in to the birth center and they are going to do the things they do to try to coerce this little one to come out.
And she told me to plan on staying. I'm not going to be able to labor at home, like I had wanted.

I'm not giving up that you are in labor but are so strong that you can handle it and when you do show up you'll be 10 cm and push her right on out! You will have labored at home and delivered with the Midwife...(Hows' that for positive thinking?)

I think that you might be concerned about stubborness being a trait of your daughters. Maybe it is inherited!! Take care and been thinking of you daily.

I've been keeping up with the baby saga, but have yet to comment... at 4cm and 90%, I would say you are already in labor.
:) Gee whiz, lady! That baby must be hanging on for dear life, all warm and snuggly. Hope you get to meet your baby soon... your way!

I'm so sorry, Cindy. That is a real heart breaker. At least the upside is getting to see your sweet girl by the weekend.
