Picture at 5 weeks in her way too cute cloth diaper. --->
We are using the one size diapers so they look super bulky on her.

I absolutely love cloth diapers. Wish I would have gone that route with my son! We are switching over to cloth wipes this week because the disposable "natural care" wipes are too much trouble and make Leah's skin turn red.
Little Leah absolutely LOVES to be naked on the changing table.

It is too funny to me. Sometimes she will just scream and cry when I am holding her, but as soon as I put her on the changing table and strip her down, she is all smiles and cooing and enjoying herself. Nuttin' but the socks and a big ol' smile.

Prince Charming thinks we should be worried.
This week is my last week of maternity leave. I am both sad and happy about that. I don't feel like hubby is quite ready to be full-time caretaker; and he is worried, too. Since I work from home, I can be available, but I still HAVE to work. I've been unwilling to let him take over because I want to enjoy the precious few weeks I have with her. But I also worry that I am setting us up to have a small disaster on our hands next week.

I'm sure my boss will be understanding of any glitches in my transition back to work, but I don't want to have to go there.
In preparation for the return to work, I have been pumping to get some milk stored up. I REALLY dislike that activity and I am half tempted to quit. Baby girl likes to do this cluster feeding business in the evening and I get worried that I pumped too much during the day and that she is going hungry because her milk is sitting in the freezer.

I've read that is a common thing for Mommas to think, especially when the babies cluster feed, but it doesn't make me feel any better just because it is normal.
My six week post-partum visit is on Friday and I am looking forward to getting cleared to return to my regular life. I'd also like to see what my "final" weight loss is since all of the pregnancy swelling and water retention should be gone by then.

I've decided that I am going to do the couch to 5K program starting on Saturday (providing I get the all-clear from the midwife). I think I am also going to get either a heart rate monitor with an interval timing feature (if such a thing exists), or some other kind of fancy stop watch that can do intervals. I like to run in the early morning, often when it is still dark, and it sounds like a nice idea for my watch to just beep at me when it is time to change pace rather than fumble around with a light on the watch. Something about the beeping in the dark sounds safer.

wow she is really growing. I think a beep in the dark does sound safer. Take care.

She's awesome!! I want to blow on her naked belly!
Pumping really sucks, and I feel for mommas who have to do it.
