View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
Edited to add a new picture of Leah in the exersaucer.
Still have a lot going on over here and I haven't been in much of a blogging mood lately. We're still struggling with the baby. Seems as though the formula ended up causing some of the same problems as my breast milk did.

I do not want to try soy-based formula so we have decided to try goat milk. The pediatrician (who supports alternative and holistic medicine) very strongly recommended it and said that he has had many babies use goat milk over the years and they are perfectly fine and have no allergies or health problems and are generally healthier than their formula-fed counterparts. I had never heard of people feeding their babies goat milk but we are running out of options.

If this doesn't work, we will have to try some uber-expensive formula. Feeding her goat milk will also require that she be on a prescription vitamin.
As if that wasn't enough, I finally remembered to ask about Leah's slightly (or so I thought) lopsided head. Seems that it is much more lopsided than I thought and she will likely need a helmet to straighten it out. Poor baby. At least he said that the helmet wouldn't hurt her.
I'm not doing anything healthy for myself right now and that is upsetting. I'm hoping to get there soon.

I feel your pain! I hope the baby likes goats milk -- I LOVED it when I was a child! :-) The lactose in goats milk is MUCH easier to digest. It is a bit 'strong' but that doesn't seem to hinder babies at all.
Hang in there, it's not fun or easy but it WILL get more fun and much easier!

I just read something about how good goat's milk is. I hope it helps.
