I was just offered the *most* amazing position last week with a company headquartered in London. A mere 54% INCREASE in pay, better benefits, more vacation time, still get to work from home when not traveling, awesome management team (which is 75% female, by the way) and the opportunity for international travel when I am ready. And all this with them knowing full-well I am six months pregnant and my maternity leave requirements. Yeah, I feel like I have won the lottery. :teeth1: This position seems like it was tailor made for my personality and skills. It is also a position that they usually fill from within. I was actually interviewing for another one and the manager for this one just really felt I was right for the job and the timing (including the maternity leave) really couldn't have worked out better for her and the project I am going to be put on initially, either.

I knew I was underpaid in my last position, but I didn't feel like I ever worked hard enough to demand more and the salary was very comfortable. The last two years with that company were kind of a joke, effort-wise. I am absolutely beyond excited to start this new chapter in my career. I'll be in Boston for orientation, etc. July 18 - 22. Oddly enough, they have a policy that a car service shuttles you from home to the airport and back, again. The HR person said it is primarily for safety reasons and secondly for convenience. You travel on company time but you are expected to work at the airport and on the plane. Perhaps you are to be on the phone on the way to the airport? :cross2: Ah well. For the amount of money they are paying me, I'll work at midnight in bunny ears and moose slippers! :tongue10:

Better go, the little one is demanding me. No one else in the house is good enough for her, I guess.

Great news, Cindy! Will you be relocating to London or continuing working in the US?
