View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

I am making some progress in cleaning up the diet--both quality and quantity. While "cold turkey" (geez, I wonder about the roots of that little colloquialism) usually works best for me, I am easing into it because of the breastfeeding. I've found that if I don't eat frequently, then catching up usually spans about three days, involves entire bags of cookies and chips, and inevitable weight/water gain. The body can be a crazy thing when it involves growing babies!

Leah has had a really REALLY rough week this week. I'm not sure if it is teething, illness, terrible twos, time change or all of the above. But, wow, we wanted to put that "Cute Little Blonde Girl For Sale" listing on craigslist this week! Today has been better, but she is all runny and messing with her ear--which could still be teething or sick! At least the incessant screeching seems to be subsiding.

I started out this last pregnancy at 324, made it up to 367 on labor day and was sitting at 312 at my 6 week postpartum visit. (Long story but I had a ton of amniotic fluid--I was the size of carrying triplets, they said--and probably twice as much water retention.) Anyway, I go for my 3 month in a couple weeks and I am hoping to be close to that 300 mark. I am wearing a 22 that fits comfortably everywhere except the waist and that was what I was wearing when I got pregnant with Leah in early 2009. I'm dismissing the tight waist to the recent pregnancy! I'd be very happy with 300...as bad as that sounds! :$

Hey, shoot for 300! I hope you are there at your apt. We need to reach every # we don't want to see ever again to get to the # or #'s we do....
Keep up the great work.
