View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day

My last little guy will be 5 months old Sunday and his big sister will be 2 years old. My, how time flies. Speaking of which, I went to my oldest son's "high school transition" event on Monday. :bigeyes3: :cry2: The first thing the principal said was "Welcome, class of 2016!" I swear, every mother in the room choked up and you could hear a lot of sniffles. I found myself choked up--me, the almost completely unemotional one. I cannot believe my little boy will be a freshman in high school in just a few months. :cry4: He will be off to college/working/driving before I am ready for it.

The sellers accepted our offer on the house we loved. It was a full price offer, as the house was already underpriced. They were looking to sell it quickly. 28 days on the market sounds pretty quick to me. Our offer was the best out of four offers. LOL It needs work, but not enough to low-ball them any more than they had already low-balled themselves--so to speak. There was another house (exact same floor plan) on the market for $50k more that was in really nice shape but not my style. The house we are buying does NOT need $50k worth of work. Maybe $10k. We are all really excited and can't wait to get out of this horrible rent house. Our lease is up 4/30 and we are closing 3/5. We were a little worried about needing to close 45 days out but the sellers were cool with it. I didn't want to make two housing payments in April!!!

There is so much going on right now, but not enough time to write about it. Once we get moved, things should be so much better. It's been one huge life change event after another for the last 3 years, maybe even 7 years. I am ready to have a settled life (for a while, at least). Is it possible that my gypsy spirit is tired/satiated/dead? :angel4: Or, perhaps, it is a sign of aging? I will be 36 this year, afterall. At any rate, I find myself looking forward to settling down, raising my little ones, enjoying life and exploring the world both virtually and through my job travels.
