View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
17 more days before my husband and I become home owners, again.

We are very excited. Our slumlord has quit responding to any voicemail, e-mail, text, etc, and we can no longer use the upstairs toilet...which is just freeeekin' perfect when you have a toddler who is just getting the hang of using the potty. B@stard. I am pretty sure that there is no way in hell we will ever see our deposit without taking the jerk to court. So, I am not going to pay April's rent. We are planning on moving March 30th and I will have some people come clean the house on the morning of the 31st and the carpets cleaned in the afternoon and tell him to come get his damn key on the 1st. The lease is up April 30th, anyway. We get late notices from his mortgage company taped to the door at least once every three months. I'd rather take the chance of him taking us to court for "late" rent than to risk not getting our $1,300 back. People like him should not be landlords.
I have Monday off! I don't think I have ever had a job where I had presidents day off. I am looking forward to a long weekend and a short workweek. Both of the little ones have been sick for weeks and not sleeping through the night. I am so exhausted. Cameron was never sleeping through the night, anyway, but he would usually just wake up once or twice. It's been 5 or 6 times a night for weeks and it seems like just when one of them goes back to sleep, the other one wakes up! Ugh. It would be nice if we could get some solid rest this weekend.
Our nanny had to get a job that had health insurance. She was so upset, but she found out she has grave's disease and her husband doesn't have insurance through his work. Poor thing is going to be making $50 a week after paying for taxes, insurance and day care for her daughter. She is practically begging me to watch the kids on the weekend so she can earn some money.

We asked that girl I wrote about, who is staying with my Dad, if she wanted to come here during the during the week and watch the kids. She jumped all over it. There is a community college about three miles away that I am helping her get signed up for. We're encouraging her to take some evening/weekend classes so she can do something with her life. We would be happy to take her and pick her up.
I have decided that once Cameron is sleeping just a bit better, that I am going to resume my morning walks/runs. That is the only health commitment I am capable of making right now. Getting my diet cleaned up will happen once we get settled into the new house. And I just want to give a big

to winter for not showing up this year. I have many winter clothing items that will remain in my closet, with tags still on, until next year.
