Ah, the pool debacle. It seems to finally be coming to an end. I ended up having to call the contractor back out to do what he was supposed to do in the first place.

He was really quite nice about it and also added an extra space for the filter equipment to sit. I *really* like the way it turned out. They offset the addition by just a fraction of an inch which made it much more interesting to look at and almost looks like a decorative thing.

Woooo! That trip to Austin was BRUTAL!!! I love to travel, but I don't think I want to do it while pregnant, again. That was no fun. At.All.
I came home and our little(ish) concrete slab was done. I paid the guy 1/2 up front and told him that I would pay the rest when I got home. He was supposed to build a 5" think, 18' round slab. I had my first ultrasound yesterday morning.
Baby is doing well, nice strong heartbeat, five days ahead of schedule...BUT...it implanted really low in my uterus and my uterus is tilted forward and that is why I have been having some bleeding for the last two/three weeks off and on. The placenta keeps separating from the uterine wall down at the bottom when I get too active.
The midwife put me on "pelvic rest" which means no exercise, no intercourse, no orgasms, no liftin...

Sugar (aka fructose, sucralose).

I never really had an appreciation for how many foods had sugar in them until recently. I have found ONE type of food that I can deal with sugar being in it: bread.
