I am going to try to take Thursday and Friday off. I haven't taken any vacation days since July and, even then, it was just a few days. We were going to go to Florida to see the in-laws this year at Christmas, but I am very worried about the economy. I might even postpone the new carpeting and new computer purchases and keep the money in savings--I am that worried. Yeah, and it is people like who me who are contributing to the problem, I know.

I went to the Dallas Stars game last night and spent the whole time wishing I hadn't. Ah well. It didn't kill me, but I would have preferred to have been at home. I honestly don't understand the draw of professional sports. I've now seen both the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Cowboys both at their arenas and on TV. It is definitely much more interesting on TV--as interesting as it can be, anyway. And the cost...well, I won't even go there. My poor baby has a big ol' blister on the top of his foot from where it is rubbing on his cast. I couldn't take him to Screams yesterday. I just couldn't let him hurt himself more. He was so very disappointed and almost started to cry. Then he said that he wished he never told me about the blister.
I made a solemn vow that I would take him before it ended on Nov 1, even if it was in a wheelchair...but that didn't help him much. He was so sad and I felt bad. But, he needs to let his foo...

Ouch. Got my EOB from the insurance company for my kiddo's orthopedic visit and we owe the doc almost $300. And we have really good insurance, too. He will, likely, have to get another cast when we go back in 2.5 weeks which I fully suspect will result in another $300 bill. Bummer...Okay, so I went to bed at 8 last night and got out of bed at 8:15 this morning. I think it took me a couple of hours to fall asleep, even though I was exhausted. I went out with my friend, didn't drink because it just did NOT sound good.
Home about 11:40 and straight to bed where I could NOT get to sleep--for the third night in a row. And, I have zero interest in going out tonight, too. Whatever...the sooner my body gets back to "normal", the better. The lovely doctor still can't find anything wrong with me (if you remember the insanity from last month), so I am just trying to ignore it as best I can and carry on. She recommended I try ...
