Yeah, so I went out last night. Of course I had a great time. I feel bad this morning. Duh.
I just love going out with my friends and dancing, too much. I actually started to feel better, which is why I went, but now I wish I hadn't.
We are having lunch with my Dad this afternoon. We haven't seen each other in months because he has been working 7 days a week. Last time we all had a meal together was June, I think. That is nuts. We used to see other about every week. He love...

Ugh! Have a cold, or something, now. My throat has been hurting for a couple of days. I had plans to go out tonight (of course) and that may not happen if I don't feel well. Won't be any fun to go if you're sick, you know?My kiddo came home from school yesterday with a swollen and hurting foot and his armpits and elbows hurting from the crutches.
Poor baby. He's a trooper, though. I gave him some motrin, instructed him to keep his foot elevated and then babied him all night long....

I was a bad Cindy last night.
Enough about that, though. 
I am so in love with my family right now. It's a wonderful feeling. I don't make enough time in my life to just enjoy it for what it is right now. I'm always thinking about something else: creating, growing, the future, building...I need to learn to treasure the moment and I had one of those rare times in my life yesterday. And, if you can believe it, it was triggered by a meeting I had with my boss yesterday morning.

I love being a Mom.
My son came home yesterday in someone's car that I had never met before crying because he had hurt his foot. We went to the urgent care center (because his foot did NOT look okay) and discovered that he had fractured his foot in two places and broke his baby toe.
They set him up in a boot and crutches and advised us to go see an orthopedic specialist this morning about the toe. The poor thing is...

I behaved myself last night. Go me. Ate well. No alcohol. In bed at 11. That is still a little later than I should be hitting the sack, but it's a lot better than 1:30.
My kiddo and I went to the library last night (after I got done working ANOTHER 12 hour day). He checked out 18 books!
We are talking two and three hundred page books with no pictures. And, I know he will read every last one of them before they are due on the 13th. He's 10. Yes, I know how fortunate I am to h...
