My girlfriend and I met at the company I used to work for when I lived in the Houston/NASA area. I think the company has over 150 employees. The lower floor of the building got flooded and the higher floors got wind damage. All but about 20 of the employees are spread all over the country right now, but mostly in Texas. My friend said that the company (an IT company, by the way) did not have offsite backup servers and no disaster plan in place. My girlfriend I love having her here! She got in at almost midnight last night and we stayed up until after 1 just chatting. Up early this morning to rearrange the furniture so that she has an "office" to work from. She brought THREE computers with her. 
The entire formal living area of my home looks like some makeshift disaster response center. Three "workcenters", 7 computers, 5 cell phones and wires crossing ALL OVER the floor. Love it! I might get a picture ...

Wow. What a great weekend. I quit thinking about work at 4:30 on Friday until 7:30 this morning.
That is EXACTLY what I needed.I am getting somewhat close to being caught up on my work. Maybe by Wednesday I will no longer feel so stressed and behind. I'd really like to be ahead of the game, rather than always playing catch up and juggling angry clients. Wouldn't that be a welcome change! O.M.G. I am so tired. Just got home from the club. Went alone tonight because none of my friends could go. I had so much fun--of course. Sometimes I amaze myself at how incredibly outgoing I am. Made some new friends and we exchanged phone numbers. They go out a LOT and I am hoping they call/text me next time they go out. We had a great time dancing the night away.I wonder how many calories I burned jumping up and down, screaming and dancing for four hours? I usually come home abs...

There are only four more hours to go until it is 5:00. This has been an absolutely horrendous week. Personally, professionally, physically, mentally, etc...blah blah blah. I really don't think I am pregnant and I am just getting to the point now where I don't care. I can ignore it all and just keep on keepin' on.My girlfriend is going to stay in Dickinson while Ike barrels through, which is SOUTH OF HOUSTON by like 30 miles!!!
