I had a great time in Houston (on Friday night, anyway). It was good to see my friends again. The trip down there and back would have been a LOT better had I gone alone, though. The people I went with were not exactly the most hygiene-conscious types in the world. Ugh. Getting laundry done. Getting the house in order (again). Getting all my lovely green friends watered and fed. I am not, however, getting any "work" done. That can be a problem.
I have to run an errand in a few minutes. As soon as I get back, it is nose to the grindstone to get this project wrapped up so that I can schedule to deploy it next week.

I am soooo tired. I spent the day in my car with my boss and two new colleagues visiting clients. They were all men and I was driving. They picked on me mercilessly the WHOLE ENTIRE DAY. Now, I can hold my own, don't get me wrong, but it got tiring after a while. These are all very intelligent men and I am not used to this level of intellectual sparring for so many hours. I've made it through the first week of being home alone. Woohoo. Last night wasn't so bad, really. Going to the gym after work was genius!
By the time I get back from there, get myself cleaned up and fed, I have very little time to brood. A friend came by last night and we stayed up until almost midnight. I slept until 8 this morning. Filled my evening yesterday with men and beer.
