It's Friday. Tomorrow, I leave for San Diego for a week. It will be nice to go back home. I am looking forward to leaving a place where the high is 29 degrees and going to a place where the high is in the70's and 80's.
My daughter is driving down with me. She has burned some fun CD mixes for our road trip. That should make the 11 hour drive go a little bit faster. She is fun to take on trips with.
I am hoping to maintain my weight loss over the week. The hard part will be finding time to exercise (I will be in a conference from 0700-1700, Monday - Thursday). The food part for those days, I'm hoping my plan works. My mom has bought the kind of yogurt I like and will be stocking the house with string cheese. That will take care of breakfast, so I won't need to eat a bagel or a donut at the conference. Lunch, I will need to focus on portion control and what I will be eating. Saying "no" to desserts is fairly easy for me. It is the salty foods that I have a hard time with.
Maybe in the evening, I will be able to work out at the gym. I do not know. I will just have to see how it goes. The conference is downtown and my mom lives about 20 minutes. But if you tack on travel time at 1700, it will double. Then, change clothes, drive back through traffic to get to the gym. . . I'm thinking a brisk walk up and down the hills that she lives on may be my best solution.
Thank goodness my mom is very supportive. She will make me exercise if I say I need her help.
