View CWCEBMEY's food & exercise for this day

I need to do something so that I stop feeling tired. I did not feel tired when I was in China. It is probably because I was not sitting around. My job activity level is very seditary. I sit in front of a computer, I talk on the phone (while sitting), I go to meetings (I have to walk to the meeting) and then I sit some more. Sit, sit , sit. I need to move some more so that I do not feel so tired.

I need to just walk a few minutes every hour or so. The trouble is, I get caught up in my work and forget about time. And then, when I do think about taking a walk, it seems my mind is programed to have to have a reason for walking. Why are you walking? What is the purpose? We're not paying you to walk for no reason.

I need to change my mind set. I can reason that my mind may need a break and a quick five minute walk will help clear my mind. But to walk just to not feel tired. . . I need a different reason. I know it is good for my health, but the company isn't paying me to walk for my health. My reason needs to be work related. Something that will encourage me to walk because it is a part of my job. Like walking to a meeting is part of my job. Walking to get the mail, walking to get lunch . . . all good reasons for walking at work.

Maybe I need to get a small glass and walk to fill it up with water frequently. I could walk to the second floor to get water (instead of down the hall). Maybe I should chose a bathroom on a different floor and walk there.

But, I need to do something besides sit all day long. I'm tired of thinking about this.
